Nature based, curiosity led workshops
With a team rooted in counseling, early childhood development and special education, we embrace an emergent curriculum method thus supporting the interests and needs of both the individual and the group.
Our seasonal workshop helps to prepare children for the world by offering them opportunities for persistence, determination, problem solving, frustration, discouragement, collaboration, and success.
We subscribe to the philosophy of encouraging children to use creative thinking, helping them to develop skills and self-sufficiency while providing the safe space from which they may do so.
Christina is an early childhood educator with a special education background. She has a passion for inviting play through literature, seasonal invitations, and the outdoors; as well as creating opportunities for children of all abilities to have the opportunity to play alongside one another in a safe and nurturing environment.
Searching for a way to include all aspects of the developing child, Christina trusted her gut and created a curriculum that focuses on social emotional development, while allowing ample space for gross and fine motor skill building.
“The team is phenomenal. The program is amazing. We have enjoyed Let’s Wander so much and feel grateful this is the foundation of care for our child. It’s about relationship, feelings and exploration. It’s beautiful.”
Pop in by the hour or stay for the full afternoon. We spend our time decompressing from structured activities by roaming among the trees, crafting inside, or lounging in the treehouse. Come home for dinner refreshed and recharged! We follow the early release school schedule of MSAD#51 and are open from 1:00pm – 5:00pm.

A homeschooling mama, Ashley joined the Trust Your Gut community with her family when Let’s Wander first launched. One year later, she co-leads our adventures and creations on Wednesday afternoons. A lover of nature and children, Ashley believes in fostering healthy relationships while appreciating the range of emotions in ones journey. She enjoys spending her time with family, camping, having dance parties, and exploring new places.
“I love that Trust Your Gut is a space where kids can create, run free, explore and experience the world around them. It is about feeling your feelings. I want my family sharing those values, they love it here.”
“This place feels like paradise.”
We are heading to the Cumberland woods again this summer and are thrilled to welcome your little ones back for some adventures. We will be getting muddy, exploring deep, and resting in the sunlight. Following our curiosity, our travels will include two farms, wooded trail, small creek (pack your bathing suit!), frog pond, and treehouse. Feeling into the inspiration from nature (and our many recycled items), we will craft to our hearts content!
